It is hard to believe that I have now lived in Stockholm for almost six months — time has passed so quickly!

The work at KLYS continues with full momentum.

In line with our election strategy, we are intensifying our efforts to raise awareness of our members’ needs and perspectives in the lead-up to the upcoming election.

I step into 2026 with a strong conviction in the power of culture — its capacity to inspire, to shape perspectives, and to influence society for the better.

In times of uncertainty, both political perseverance and intercultural cooperation are essential — not least the collaboration between cultural institutions and the independent cultural sector.

January begins with meetings with members of the Social Insurance Committee regarding the SGI inquiry (sickness benefit qualifying income), a seminar in the parliament on the value, conditions, and future of the visual arts, a visit to Gothenburg Film Festival and The Film Policy Summit, as well as attending a national dance conference at Dansens Hus.

The work continues.
